Fastener Industry News Site Designates ACTYLUS 8100/8200 as NIFMSE 2016 Highlight
Mason, OH, November 8 — The ACTYLUS™ Smart Bin Systems, from Apex Supply Chain Technologies® of Mason, Ohio, have been singled out as a best new technology for the fastener industry.
The award, part of Fastener News Desk’s annual “Best Booth Awards,” was based on new technologies exhibited at the 34th annual National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo (NIFMSE) show in Las Vegas from October 22 through 24. It was the first year Apex exhibited at the show, which broke attendance records this year.
Distributors Respond to ACTYLUS
In the news site’s review of companies that stood out on the show floor, it had high praise for the impact automated inventory replenishment can make for fastener distributors.
“We were very impressed with the ACTYUS 8100/8200! This new technology is where the Internet of Things (IoT) advances vendor management capabilities for the fastener industry. All the devices are easy-to-use Internet appliances (MS Windows-free). They’re powered by Apex Connect n’ Go™ Technology, so you simply plug the device into a power supply, connect to the Internet and you’re ready to go. The Apex automated point-of-use dispensing and supply chain technologies change the way business functions.”

The award is attributed to ACTYLUS ability to automate the inventory replenishment process — a traditionally inefficient, expensive and manual process. If you consider it’s estimated companies will spend as much as $81 billion globally on industrial fasteners by 2018, the impact ACTYLUS smart bins can have on vendor managed inventory is sizable.
